Established in 2014, the Rukin Hyland Equity and Inclusion Scholarship is awarded annually to a 2nd-year law student who presents solid academic credentials, personal achievement outside the school environment, significant participation in community service, and an interest in employment law. This program is designed to increase the participation of underrepresented groups in the bar, including law students who are economically disadvantaged.

- You must have completed at least 2 semesters at an accredited U.S. law school.
- You must have maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3.

In your application essay, please explain how you hope that your work will promote fairness and justice in your community or in society as a whole. Include any current volunteer work. Your essay should be 750-1000 words in length.
